WHAT´S TENDO?

Tendo is a soft robotic exoskeleton which brings strength to weak hands with the help of artificial muscles. Tendo is created with the user in mind with an understanding of how a limitation affects the self-image. Design is used, not only to maximize function, but also to minimize the feeling of being sick. It’s made for people, not symptoms. 

Tendo creates greater independence for people suffering from limitations due to e.g. arthritis, an injury, stroke or age and results in an improved self-image and quality of life as well as a reduces need of assistance from the community and family. Tendo is worn like a glove and enables a strong grip in more or less all everyday situations.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Have you ever looked on something engineeringly amazing or something medical and just asked yourself, why does it have to look like that? Are you someone who feels that technology and robotics can be something soft, smooth, and even simple. Then we are looking for you!

At Tendo, we are working from a holistic point of view and combines the best of Robotics, med-tech and industrial design with a focus on the human body where the technology works with your identity to become a part of a stronger you.

Your job will be to perform a trend analyse within the field of healthcare, robotics, and wearable tech and to use this as a basis for a concept development phase with focus on aesthetics and usability. You will be working closely with a team with various backgrounds in a fast-moving project.

Tendo is one of five companies working from the Odense Robotics StartUp Hub so you will be working from a EU-certified Golden Labelled cluster within the awesome field of robotics.


WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Someone who can work independently, aren´t afraid to contribute with own ideas and you are someone who won’t back down from a challenge 
  • You are interested in user oriented design, human behavior, and technology
  • Excited to be a part of the start-up life
  • You are probable a student from an education within the field of industrial design, art or product design engineering.
  •  You speak English or Swedish, Danish is a plus
  • Do you have a passion for graphical design as well or even feel like that´s where You shine the most? Then let us know, because then we have some fun and interesting tasks for you!


PRACTICAL DETAILS

  • We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible, 1st of September at the latest
  • You will mainly be working from Forskerparken 10 in Odense but some flexibility exists if you prefer to work from distance
  • The Internship is an unpaid learning experience for a minimum of 1 month
  • Flexible hours, let us know in the application if you intend to work full time or as extra support
