Dized is the revolutionary smartphone app that will change how people learn and play board games. No more studying before a game, you can now skip the rulebook and learn while playing. Dized also has a powerful rule lookup tool, a tool to help you set your games up, and more. We’re always cooking up cool features for the app! Right now we are looking for a new chef in the kitchen! Come garnish out front-end with a team of board game enthusiasts right next to Helsinki central railway station.

Working with our artists at Playmore Games, you will be responsible for creating and designing new web portals (Such as the one for Dized). Some of these portals will be built on top of WordPress, and some will need to be built from the ground-up. We encourage you to pitch creative solutions and ideas as we have a lot of freedom in the company to do what you want to do within your role.

We expect you to have worked with Javascript projects and used libraries suchs as jQuery, Require.js or React. You should know how to interact with Rest APIs. HTML and CSS are something that won’t give you a challenge. You have a good understanding of how modern web pages are build.

While we prefer someone who will be in our Helsinki office on a daily basis, remote applicants are welcome. You will have to be able to travel to the Helsinki office at least once a week.

We value your experience and contributions to projects more than your years of experience. You don’t need to be super well versed in the newest frameworks to succeed here. The most important thing is the willingness to learn and the ability to do the research to fill the gaps in your knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience with a JS Framework and Library (preferably React, or a desire to learn React)
• Experience with HTML5, Javascript, and CSS
• Ability to understand requirements from different departments
• Good English written and verbal skills
• Ability to motivate yourself and take initiative

Bonus points

• Experience with UI design
• Experience working in a team of specialists
• An eye for visuals, GUI building, and UX
• Understanding of databases and data structures
• Knowledge of different board games
• German, French, or Finnish language skills
