PIETTO is looking to hire a dedicated intern who is passionate about product design and product development and who wants to become part of an exciting startup. We a recently founded company with a strong profile within design and sustainability and have decided to invite a creative and talented intern to join our team. Your main task will be to develop the design of our product in close collaboration with our founder, Charlotte.

At PIETTO we are working hard to create an amazing product that you simply put in your shoes after wear and that easily and effectively removes all unwanted smells thanks to activated carbon. Our goal is to develop a safe, beautiful and environmentally friendly product that makes smelly shoes a thing of the past. As we approach the design and development phase, we have decided to invite a creative and talented intern to join our team. Your main task will be to design develop and test our product in close collaboration with our founder. You will thus become a vital part of our company and be able to deepen your skills within industrial design. If the personal and professional connection is good you might even be able to become a more permanent member of the Pietto team.

Your primary tasks include:

• Product design: To develop innovative design suggestions for the product while taking into account choice of materials, the qualities of activated carbon etc. as well as creating prototypes of selected designs.
• Product development: As the design is developed, you will test different samples of activated carbon while considering the shape and design of the prototype, the effectiveness and volume of the carbon, etc. and select the best carbon type for the product.
• Commence the proof of tech for the product or start making a strategy for doing so.

Your profile:

• You study industrial design or other related topics (or have recently received your degree within this field).
• You are passionate about product design and development and want to gain some practical experience.
• You are a positive and ambitious person who is used to work creatively and independently.
• You have practical experience with product design and development, e.g. 3D prototyping.
• Most importantly, you are driven and eager to become part of a young Danish startup.

The internship is a 6-week full time position (37 hours weekly) to be filled as soon as possible – e.g. by March 15th 2017 or earlier – but we are willing to adapt both hours, duration and date of employment for the right candidate. We are part of a startup office in Frederiksberg with free coffee and a great cafeteria at the ground floor. The position is unpaid but we offer a unique opportunity to develop your product design skills and to be part of a young, dynamic startup. Both Danish and English speakers may apply.
