I need the opposite of me. If you've ever read the book 'rocket fuel' you'll know about the visionary+integrator balance. I'm a typical founder. I'm a non-linear thinker, totally disorganized at the best of times. I've built a pretty awesome startup over this past year(this is my third biz), we've sold 8000 solar powered backpacks to people in 81 countries and have a turnover of around 10mio DKK. I want someone to take over operations of the company so I can focus on what I'm best at: New Stuff.

Looking for a self-starting, hard working person with experience in operations to join our team.

The ideal candidate:

Experience in a company with physical products

Knowledge of international distribution

Experience working with an international team, and salesforce/distributors around the world.

Knowledge of branding and marketing: Agency experience is a positive thing

Important skills:

Leadership & Management Experience

Strong financial background is an asset.

An understanding of sales and an ability to coordinate with a sales team. (you don't need to motivate the sales team, but you do need to hold them accountable to their goals they set)

1. Experience is important in this role.

2. Diligence is crucial.

4. Attention to detail is necessary.

5. Ambition and being able to find solutions on your own is paramount.

I want to have a weekly meeting with you and get the overview of what's been going on so I can have a helicopter view of what challenges you have been facing. You will manage 3-4 people. Since it's a startup, you're not only a manager that delegates, but this is a managerial role and an execution role.

About the company:

We have an office in Aarhus, and a small team here. Other team members are remote, including Canada, Hong Kong, Spain.

Myself: I'm Canadian. I travel for about 2 weeks per month and I'm not always in the office.

I launched Lifepack earlier this year and have done 1.2million USD in presales via Kickstarter and Indiegogo to 6500 people in 81 countries. Now we have shipped product to many of these and we are getting to the point of launching with international distributors and bringing more new products to market. We have ambitious growth goals.

Who are you?

You might be a badass executive assistant. You might be an operations manager at another company. You are looking for an opportunity to lead and a chance for huge global growth. This position offers you that.

One of the most important things is a cultural fit and the ability to take the lead, along with a track record of successfully doing so.

The best example of why I need you:

This job posting has been made, not proof read, and posted because in my world 80% is good enough and I need someone to finish the final 20% of the job.

*Instead of spending hours on this job post, I'm jumping on a call with Mashable to make sure they are happy with the press sample they just received today. You get bonus points if you catch mistakes in this post and have the balls to point them out to me. The salary is set as competitive and not a set amount because payment will be based on experience.

Solgaard Design

Solgaard Design is a brand dedicated to making products that fit people's lives. Starting with Lifepack, our first challenge is recreating the mobile office. We have created a backpack which is solar powered battery pack so you always have power for your phone, an integrated lock so your work items are safe, and a lifezone so your socks and paperwork don't get mixed up. We've raised over a million USD via crowdfunding. We're excited about what the future holds. English speaking.
