Nikolai Gjerløff

I am a Computer Scientist who have been working with startups since I started my first small software development company in 1998. Since then I have done a lot of work in data driven eCommerce/online marketing, business intelligence, SaaS - and more nerdy areas like performance optimization of large databases. In the beginning mostly as a software developer, but in recent years business and concept development - as well as business related analysis and optimization - has taken up more and more of my time. I love helping a company become profitable by solving both technical challenges and business challenges - and can do the most good in cases where it is important to have a solid understanding of both. This is what I am looking for when I invest (money and/or sweat). So send me a message if you think I can be of help. :)

Carsten Kronborg

My driving force: I find it very rewarding and inspiring to work with start-ups and scale-ups, and thereby contribute to their purpose. I provide inspiration and advice, challenge strategies and plans, and participate hands-on in the work if relevant. How I work: I no longer work in a full-time role – I devote my time to investments and work for start-ups and scale-ups. I work on a part time basis, in the form of board work, consultancy/advisory, or short-term assignments I do try to make money as an investor, but I am not driven by fiscal renumeration when I work with start-ups and scale-ups – my contribution to the development of the business is on pro bono basis as a starting point. Depending on the amount of time we jointly agree that I spend, a fair fiscal renumeration in some form could become relevant (eg. fee or equity). My background and results: I am 55 years old, BSc Mechanical Engineering as well as commercial degrees, and I spent my 30+ year career in Global Tech companies like Nokia, Heidelberger Druck, Siemens, Hasselblad, Jabra, and Brüel & Kjaer. Most of the time (25 years) with P&L responsibility in international and global leadership roles in After Sales. I have vast experience in scaling product- and service-related businesses, stakeholder management, leadership, and market analysis. I more than once headed up implementation of a globally aligned go-to-market strategy in a formerly regionally focused business set-up. I also headed the development and global implementation of new service contract concepts on several occasions. How I contribute: Very Customer centric approach to business. Customer first! Strive to find simplicity in the complexity. Strong strategic mind and vast experience in scaling. Confidence inspiring personality. Very good communicator on all levels. I say what I do and do what I say. My values: Customer first! Walk the talk: Do what you say and say what you do! Team before individuals. Be honest – also when it hurts.

Skift-a-kasse

On January 1st of each year, the Entrepreneurship Grant KICKSTART is awarded as support to Danish entrepreneurs. The grant can be used as support for ongoing Danish companies that were established a maximum of 12 months before the application date. At skift-a-kasse.dk we advise and inform especially about unemployment insurance funds and unemployment benefits, but as part of Danish society, we want as few people as possible to end up in a situation where they are forced to receive unemployment benefits. Our modest contribution to reducing the number of recipients of unemployment benefits is in the Entrepreneurship KICKSTART. In Denmark, we need more entrepreneurs and self-employed people who can start new and successful businesses to create jobs for all of us. That is why we support start-ups and entrepreneurs with DKK 10,000 every year on 1 January.
