xEdu brings together education and entrepreneurs mindset, for building educational products. You should have a product ready when you apply.
xEdu was founded in 2015. Since then they have received more than 200 applications from over 40 countries. They have accelerated 22 companies from 4 different countries.
The accelerator program runs two times a year, for 4-6 months. They offer assistance in coaching and mentoring, as well as real-life testing environments for research and development. xEdu can also assist with a co-working space in Fontell House. For the 2017 xEdu Accelerator Program, funding opportunities can go up to €500 000 for participating startups.
You can sign up for their newsletter to keep updated on their recruitment process. They accept new startups twice a year.
xEdu evaluates three things. You should be able to create services and products for the education business. You should have a committed team that wants to grow. And last, you should have a service that is ready or almost ready for market validation and expansion.
Antti Korhonen – CEO
Prior to founding xEdu, Antti has held positions as CEO, as well as having several central positions in Nokia. His core specialties are business development, strategy, networking, and competence development. Antti holds an MQ in Quality Management from Helsinki University of Technology.
Niko Lindholm - Program Director
Niko joined the company in 2015 and is responsible for building and developing the programs that xEdu offer. He is writing his Doctoral Candidate at the University of Tampere and holds a master in Soc.Sci. from University of Turku.
