More about Venture Cup Sweden

All kinds of ideas can compete in Venture Cup. Depending on what stage your business is in, you compete in either Venture Cup IDEA or Venture Cup STARTUP. If you are unsure, we suggest that you look at Venture Cup rules and that you contact the nearest regional office if you have further questions.

 


Experience

The jury consists of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry experts and more. The jury has great knowledge and extensive experience in starting and running businesses and make them grow. If you are more curious, you can read more about the jury here.

 


How do they work?

First of all the crowd will give feedback, rate and like the ideas. On deadline, the best ideas according to the crowd’s voice will be handed to the Jury that will decide the winners. In STARTUP, all the entries are sent to a pre-jury meeting where they are screened

IDEA
The 50 highest scoring entries will be evaluated by The Jury, and they decide which of these 50 entries that will be presented on our Top 20 list.

STARTUP
All entries are sent to a pre-jury screening process, 12 entries from each region are then selected. These Startups will pitch in front of the jury which then decides which Startups that will win the prizes.

Julia Selander - CEO
I like to compete, learn new things and to change stuff for the better. I never say no to something if it seems fun or if someone tells me that it's "too difficult". I love being on stage and am the Queen of moderating events (humble, huh?). I think that creative people will save the world. I am inspired by curiosity, great leadership, and doers. I would probably spend all my awaken time reading in bathtubs if it was socially acceptable.

Lisa Johansson - CMO
I work as Chief Marketing Officer at Venture Cup Sweden, which basically means that I am in charge of how the Venture Cup brand is perceived by our target audience. Venture Cup is all about inspiring, motivating and nudging entrepreneurs towards pursuing their dreams and ideas by starting their own company. Besides creative ideas and brilliant startups, I like early morning workouts and delicious vegetarian food.
