More about Venture Cup

Venture Cup exists so that young entrepreneurs can learn and challenge themselves in making a business and a business plan. It was first arranged in Norway in 1999. It is also arranged in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Today it is Start Norway and educational institutions that together have the responsibility of arranging the challenge.

How much do they invest?

In every one of the three steps you can win money prizes. This is also a great opportunity to get to know investors, get feedback on your ideas and meet other likeminded people. You are invited to lecturers and social gatherings. This challenge can also be taken as a study program and give 7,5 ECTS points.

How do they work?

Phase 1: Local final: This is arranged at the local educational institutions. The best ideas move on to the regional finals.

Phase 2: Regional final: The local winners meet to compete for the two spots from every region, Northern Norway, Trøndelag, Southern & Western Norway and Eastern Norway. Here you can win prize money and winners move on to the national final.

Phase 3: National final: All the regional winners participate compete for a whole weekend. Several hundred thousand NOK is given to the groups with the best business plans. Find your region and apply for a spot.
