In the investments portfolio he has had a specific focus on Nurminen PDI Services, Pakri Marine Investments, Alexela Logistics and more recently with Balti Realiseerimiskeskus – companies in which Tarmo has held or holds observer positions in the board.

Since 2006 Tarmo has also been a council member at Skinest Rail. Prior to founding UP in November 2003 he worked for more than 10 years together with Mart as Chief Finance & Risk Officer and Vice Chairman of Hansa Capital, the asset-based financing arm of Hansabank, and member of various Hansabank credit committees & Hansabank Group ALMCO.

He has studied management accounting at Tallinn University of Technology. Additionally, he has attended various additional training courses carried through by EBRD, Goldratt, etc.
