All ideas are welcome. You can apply for program with just an idea or you can have reached further and have a prototype.
The program has existed since 1982 and more than 500 businesses have participated. During a 10 year period, it is shown that more than half of the participating ideas became businesses. This can also be taken a subject that gives 7,5 ECTS points if you want to be part of the team that helps develop the idea.
Participation in the program gives you a team of 6 people who work for your project, 5 students, and one guide. The main part of this program is where you and your team work intensively for 6 days, all day, with collecting material, cracking numbers, analyzing your project and develop a business plan. There can also be made surveys or interviews during this period. On the last day, you present your idea for a panel with possible investors.
You send in your application on https://www.ntnu.no/take-off/bedrift. They expect the application to be from 3 to 5 pages, but the most important thing is to give them an overview if what your business idea is about. You are welcome to talk with them before sending in your application.
Your product or service should be innovative and have great growth potential. You will also need to be able to attend the courses and seminars in the time period. Your idea should also have a competitive advantage in the business market.
