They invest primarily in Nordic cleantech companies seeking global expansion. Their preferred investment focus is on series A, B and C rounds, but they are also open to investing in more established businesses who wants to grow.
Sustainable Technologies Fund was founded in 2007. The team represents more than 60 years of combined experience in the fields of strategic sustainable development and private equity.
Their typical initial investment size is from €1 to €3 million. They seek to invest €4 to €6 million per company over the life of an investment. They prefer to take minority positions and an active board seat. They offer support through a management team with resources and skills that are required to help the business succeed.
They would like to spend the time to gain an understanding of what a company has to offer from a ‘cleantech’ perspective - what are the benefits to society and nature - as well as the traditional potential economic benefits. They then engage in a thorough due diligence process that involves a rigorous sustainability, market, financial, and legal analysis prior to the ultimate investment decision.
