Most participants are MA level students affiliated with educational programmes within IT and journalism. Startups are welcome too, if the Stibo team feels they have something to add to the startup.
Stibo Accelerator is a young initiative that emphasizes mutual coaching between startups. Stibos own software business and employees offer the startups guidance and networking possibilities. The program is free and they don’t expect you to give anything back or to work for them afterwards.
It’s not about the money. If you are accepted into the program, it’s because they believe the global Stibo network can support your project. After the acceleration phase, they may consider an investment.
First, you should send a pitch to them via mail. Then they will determine whether you have something to add to the office collective and the projects already running in the program. If their evaluation is positive, you will be offered to participate in the program for 6-12 months, including office space.
Your pitch will be assessed within 2-4 weeks.
Stibo must feel able to help your company’s growth in a sustainable way. Or as they also put it: Provide the “missing acid in the battery”. You have to be able to present a new product idea + method. You are preferably in the middle of a master’s level degree.
Be sharp, when it comes to these aspects:
Burning question:
Which big everyday challenge does your project solve for the end user?
Stibo’s role:
How can the resources in the accelerator program help you?
Possible partnerships:
Does your project require close involvement of specific market stakeholders?
Creative Vikings, amongst others. Read more about their projects here.
