More about Startup Camp

Experience

Startup Camp is arranged by Chalmers Venture. It is a 15-week program that will help you learn, build and develop your idea. The fall of 2016 is the camp’s 10'th anniversary. In 2016 they went from offering 10 weeks and expanded to 15 weeks. Every time they normally have over 80 ideas to evaluate with only 10-20 positions to offer.

How much do they invest?

They help you identify how you create the most value for your customers and optimise a scalable business model. This will be through class-based sessions in English.

During 15 intense weeks, you will get;

  • Inspirational seminars from serial entrepreneurs

  • Crash-courses and Workshops in Lean Startup, Growth Hacking, Pitching, Funding etc

  • Weekly group coaching and feedback sessions

  • Feedback and networking events with industry professionals etc

  • Free office space 24/7

  • A dedicated business coach (phase three teams only)

  • Pitch opportunity at the Venture Day (phase three teams only)

How do they work?

This is what you are expected to learn after the 15 weeks:

  • Validated the customer/user need

  • Identified (built) and verified the Minimum Viable Product

  • A crisp pitch to communicate your idea

For the final phase, phase three, they have up to ten spots for the most promising startups that will receive extra coaching and seminars and the opportunity to pitch/present at the venture day during the final week. The best teams will be offered an investment opportunity (up to 300 KSEK) from Chalmers Ventures and potentially other investors.

This makes a difference to them

Your idea needs to be tech-based, scalable and with a global potential. You should preferably be a team of at least two persons, with the skills to create a Minimum Viable Product. Your team is an important factor for success.
