Norinnova's incubator focuses on innovation but offers services in a number of businesses. They focus mostly on businesses in Northern Norway.
Norinnova Incubator is driven by Norinnova Technology Transfer. It started up in 2000 and has since then supported more than 60 innovative businesses. Every year the incubator is given 3 million NOK to stimulate startup businesses from SIVA.
The incubator provides innovation advisory services and innovation support services through professional business developers, mentors and investors. The incubator also represents a social community that gives your idea room to grow. They offer office space, workshops and seminars.
They have divided the incubator process into 4 parts. If you have an idea you can contact them and they will set up a meeting where you can present it. After the meeting, they will evaluate the ability of the project and the team. They will conduct a screening process to determine whether it is likely to create a sustainable growth business. As a third phase, they aim to create a profitable and sustainable business with growth potential - preferably internationally. Establish and develop the company into a functioning business model and an established market (customers). The last step is the post-incubation, where a growth or exit is to happen.
Norinnova wants to help the growth of unique ideas. Your idea needs to be different than what is already available on the market, it also needs to have the ability to grow. It can be a product, process, service or a new way of utilizing known technology. The team behind the idea and their knowledge and ambitions is also an important success factor.
