MTI Startup focuses on investment opportunities with a high degree of technology. Software in general, but also anything within electronics to best utilize the competence in their region. Which is also known as "The Electronic Coast"  because of all the ICT and Electronic component manufacturers that are located here. Specifically MTI Startup is interested in opportunities within IOT and IIOT as well as projects utilizing micro- and nanotechnology.

Great economical, financial and strategical experience with a large network of previous founders and investors with valuable insight into most aspects of the tech industry.

How much do they invest?

In the range of  500 TNOK to 3 MNOK in the first round in new startups. With the potential of further investments from other funds in their group that focus on more mature companies.

How do they work?

MTI Startup is a pre-seed capital investor for Innovation Norway. Invests matching capital, and work closely with co-investors. Do not require controlling position, but aims to be an active partner for accelerated commercialization of the company. Participating in their technology incubator Silicia is a plus, but not a must.

A technology, product or market segment that we understand, and have experience from in order to help the Founders. And that the Founders are actually coachable and looking for more than financing.
