More about Innovation Norway - Global Entrepreneurship Program

With foothold, and half-yearly, activities in several global entrepreneurial hubs around the world, Innovation Norway powers the Global Entrepreneurship Program. It´s an outstanding network of international coaches and mentors. The network is developed exclusively to guide and advise the most promising Norwegian startups on their journey to global growth.

The program has alumni from a wide range of industries. The main purpose of the program is to build excellent commercial skills and great habits in the founding team of the selected companies. The companies will take part in one, or a combination of several of the following activities:

  • The four weeks Tech Incubator (TINC) at the Nordic Innovation House in Palo Alto emphasizes on sound lean startup practices and guides you in the search for a global concept- and market validation.
  • Two weeks with the (Entrepreneurial Marketing) network in New York will kick start your sales, your messaging and branding, your digital marketing and your pitch. Through eight months, bi-weekly, follow up, you´ll establish killer habits for measuring, and navigating towards, your growth.
  • The Tech City Executive Accelerator in London (TEA) focuses on how to go from product/market fit to a validated, profitable and repeatable business model.
  • Global Entrepreneurship Training at Babson College outside Boston is a “micro MBA”, a one week intensive executive leadership training for C level leaders of growing companies.

Experience

Coaches and mentors all have world class reputations in their field of expertise. The network is developed since 2010, and more than 300 Norwegian startups have taken advantage of these possibilities. Alumni consist of founding partners from companies like FlowMotion, Staaker, MovieMask, inzpire.me, Kahoot and more. Johan Brand, Co founder of Kahoot, said that Kahoot really became Kahoot during their participation at the Tech Incubator (TINC) in Palo Alto.

How much do they invest?

They don’t. This program focuses on mentoring and coaching. Innovation Norway provides a wide range of public funding through both grants and loans. Companies who want to take part in the Global Entrepreneurship network does not need to have a funding history from Innovation Norway.

How do they work?

You can apply directly to take part in one of the activities in the portfolio, or be in touch to be advised on how to take advantage of the network. The company and the team will be screened and interviewed.

This makes a difference to them

Companies with promising or validated concepts, that have a global potential is preferred to the network. Coachable and curious founders, with a learning attitude and sharing mindset are welcomed. And, don´t be an asshole. There´s zero tolerance for any kind of racism, sexism and harassment. Let’s make the entrepreneurial scene a safe arena for everyone.
