Within its purpose, the Fund may provide support for marketing, research and trials, product development, counselling, education, disease prevention, disease control, animal welfare and control and special activities approved by the Minister for the Environment and Food.

The fund provides grants to associations, industry organizations, self-governing institutions, public institutions and other legal entities.

The Foundation emphasizes that the applicants have the necessary capacity to ensure completion of the project incl. the important dissemination part to ensure that the results are widely used.
