Fouriertransform invests in and finance companies involved in research, development and investment activities that will lead to commercially viable products or services. Their main focus lies on the Swedish manufacturing industry.
Founded in 2009, Fouriertransform has until now invested in 28 companies for a total amount of €173 million. 13 of these companies are in the startup or growth stage. The fund collaborates with the private sector as well as the Swedish energy Agency, Vinnova, and the state-owned venture capital company Almi Företagspartner.
Fouriertransform has an investment capacity of €320 million. Their smallest investment has been €1.61 million, while their largest investment has reached €36 million. Once the investment is made, Fouriertransform continues to play an active role through board representation and by giving access to qualified industry expertise.
After receiving an application for funding, the Fouriertransform team will discuss the opportunity internally at their weekly investment meeting. If the project falls within their focus, they will invite the startup for further meeting.
The goal of their investments is long-term value creation. They aim their investments at areas where there is particularly strong potential for the Swedish manufacturing industry to hold up well to the competition.
