Experience

Leaders of some of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used the Founder Institute to transition from employee to entrepreneur, test their startup ideas, build a team, get their first customers, raise funding, and more - like Udemy, Realty Mogul, iCarsClub, Itembase, goplaceit, and Appota.

Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 200 cities and 60 countries, the Founder Institute's mission is to "Globalize Silicon Valley" and create sustainable startup ecosystems that will create one million new jobs worldwide.

Founder Institute in Stockholm has more than 50 mentors, of which most are serial entrepreneurs and angel investors but also experts in lean startup, product development, pitching, marketing, sales development, legal, funding and more.

How much do they invest?

Founder Institute Stockholm provides access to a network of venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, experts, graduates from across the globe including Silicon Valley to support you in your company building. The 3 graduates receive up to 100K SEK in grant funding from Desifer, the company behind Founder Institute in Stockholm.

How do they work?

When a semester is open for applications, you can apply online. After completing the application, you will be invited to take our Predictive Admissions Assessment, which is Founder Institute’s main criteria for evaluating applicants. If you are accepted, you will be invited to pay the Course Fee and complete your enrollment.

This makes a difference to them

The Founder Institute focuses on founders instead of ideas. If you are talented and motivated to do the work required to build an enduring tech or tech-enabled company, then Founder Institute want to hear from you. The are specifically looking for the following:

  • Passion for solving a certain “customer problem” rather than focusing on a specific technology
  • A problem where the solution is tech-enabled (for example software or internet) and can scale
  • Entrepreneurial DNA (as measured by our proprietary test) with high openness and strong problem solving skills
  • A high degree of openness and willingness to receive coaching
