More about EUDP

With green energy as the common denominator, EUDP backs a broad spectrum of projects. They have currently allocated DKK 7,9 million for projects within the area of energy efficient transportation. Their main concern is the positive commercial and environmental impact of the project. Both public and private commercial enterprises within the field of green technology can apply for funding. The project will be assessed in accordance with overall EUDP priorities and strategic ambitions.

Experience

The program was established by law in 2007 and is headed by an independent board, appointed by the Minister for Climate and Energy. EUDP has until now supported close to 400 projects.

How much do they invest?

In 2016, EUDP has DKK 165 million at their disposal. Aside from that financial framework there are no upper limits for funding aid to a single project. It has previously ranged between a couple of thousand DKK and DKK 80 million. Up to 50% of the project can be funded by EUDP. Half or more of the project will need to be backed by private investors or partners.

How do they work?

You can apply for funding through EUDP’s online portal. Basic information such as project title, budget and the names of participants should be covered in the online form. The project description, full budget, and the time schedule should subsequently be submitted as appendixes.

This makes a difference to them

The program supports projects during the phase related to product development and demonstration. It is important that you have a plan for when and where your product will reach the market as well as a planning horizon of 3-5 years. EUDP favors an element of knowledge sharing that supports the general progress of green technology.

A good pitch for them

As short and precise as possible while maintaining a condensed amount of data. Your description should focus on the objective and activities of the project, with an emphasis on its energy-technological and commercial output. The project will also be assessed in accordance to how scalable, well-defined and technically implementable it is.
