More about Elforks

We support projects from applied research, development and small pilot, introduction of new technologies, systems, methods, behavioral knowledge and dissemination. We have a very strong focus on applying knowledge and results from ELFORSK projects.

Who can apply?

- All public or private companies, universities, educational institutions and Approved Technological Service Institutes (GTS)

- Applicants must have a Danish CVR number

- Foreign project partners may well participate as long as the project contributes to promoting efficient energy use in Denmark

How much support can you apply for?

- There is no upper or lower limit for the amount you can apply for. ELFORSK projects are smaller projects and therefore a grant of between DKK 200,000 and up to DKK 1.5 million is typically granted per project

- ELFORSK supports 15-20 projects per year

- We would like projects to have a total self-financing of 50%. However, it depends on whether the project is a research, development or demonstration project

We do not support:

- Basic research

- Research and development of technologies that produce electricity and heat, including solar cells and solar heat

- Research, development and optimization of battery technology

- Transport Industry

- The district heating area and a one-sided focus on heat

- Investigations and mapping without a research and development content

- Technologies that do not belong to the final consumption
