More about Danish Tech Challenge

The Danish Tech Challenge is focusing only on hardware. You don’t have to be very far with the commercialization of your idea to participate, but you should at least have a prototype.

Experience

The initiative was launched back in 2014 and is run in cooperation with Scion DTU and Industriens Fond. Startups from Korea and Hjørring (western Denmark) have participated, but most of the startups in the competition are from the capital region of Denmark.

How much do they invest?

The competition runs once a year and the winner is given DKK 500.000, office space, access to a prototype workshop as well as sparring with advisors and mentors.

A good pitch for them

Start with a catchy one-liner, make them hooked on you idea. When you have sparked their curiosity, convince them that there is a problem and show how you offer the solution. Remember - it should be an environmental-friendly one. Prior to the pitch you should fill out their application.

Does your product actually target a problem?
Is the technology really groundbreaking?
Can the technical edge be preserved/protected/patented?

Startups they funded

Nordic Powerconverters, Medtrace, Spiio and Aquagreen.
