CIID Nest works across sectors and they take in entrepreneurs from all areas of business. The important factor is that your startup is design-based and in an early stage of development.
Their first Incubator cycle was launched in 2014. Since then, the Nest has helped new startups develop and grow year after year.
The program is divided into the three phases of Incubation, product and launch. Following all 12 months, your company can receive up to DKK 320,000 in funding. Apart from financing, the program also offers mentorship, business training, and facilitation.
For every phase your company participates in, the Nest will take a specified percentage of equity. For a full participation of 12 months, the program will take 8 percent. At the end of each phase, there will be an assessment that includes the financial aspects of the company.
The methods and tools applied by the Nest are design-focused. Your product or service should be both user-centred and scalable. Both startups at the idea or prototype stage as well as more established players can apply for the accelerator.
The Nest uses a pre-made application form, where you fill in the specifications of your company. You only have 1000 characters for your pitch, so you will have to make your description as short and precise as possible. Be sure not to use space on information that are filled out in other sections.
