They focus on good ideas that can be made into an app. You can have developed your idea on a very simple level or you can have worked with it for a long time. You can apply alone or with a team.
AppLab was founded in 2013 and was made to give students a helping hand in making ideas become apps. AppLab gives you 6 months in their program. By the end of your time with them you should have a prototype of your app.
If you participate in AppLab you get your own workspace in their “lab”. You also get a network of app-people helping you through workshops and lectures. This creates the possibilities for networking, inspiration, and teamwork.
It starts out with forming teams and planning your time with AppLab. Throughout the program, you will get 4 workshops and social gatherings. You will get feedback and professional help with developing your app. The program is completed by first presenting your idea to a panel and finally an investor presentation. In the last presentation, you should have a complete app. The winner will get 10 consulting hours from Zedge worth 25.000 NOK and a sponsored trip a fair of your choice.
You do not need to be fully trained in developing apps, but you need to be interested in learning. You should have motivation and commitment. It is especially intended for students with passion for programming and app development. You should also be cooperative, as AppLab mean that it’s the great teams that succeed.
