Carbon is Money

WHO WE ARE: Carbon is Money aims to unite ordinary people across borders who agree that removing carbon from the atmosphere is in our common interest. The simplest way to demonstrate this agreement is to use carbon mitigation as a means to store, exchange and account for value amongst ourselves – as the basis for our money. Carbon is Money offers a tool for evolving our economic system where currency can, for the first time, align itself with environmental wealth as opposed to its destruction. For evolving into a world of BOTH economic prosperity and environmental wealth. WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO DO: •To prevent climate change by accelerating carbon reduction activities •To fix the current economic model so that it places value on the environment •To unite global communities who share the belief that carbon reduction has intrinsic value •To bypass the institutions that are failing us and give communities the power to act •To collectively invest in environmental assets to create environmental wealth for all We are supported by www.tocos.org, and the currency is managed by thecarbonreserve.org , a SO-FIT Foundation in Geneva.
