About the Role

We are looking to expand our testing team with an inquisitive and hands-on QA engineer to support our reports development team. You will be responsible for the testing of our reporting engine, tackling both financial and non-financial figures by breaking them down into manageable components for investigation and testing. You will carry out manual and automation testing processes that assure our reporting service upholds integrity and accuracy.

About You

You should have a background in testing, having experience and knowledge in analytical manual testing practices, or having worked in a customer/technical support role identifying product issues. You should be able to prioritise your workload and be skilled at finding bugs others have difficulty in spotting, as well as writing automation test scripts from a blank canvas. You should have some experience working with and supporting web-based applications, ideally software-as-a-service. Experience within fin-tech or accountancy

REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone who has:

- The ability to think on their feet to keep evolving the testing solution

- Skills in both manual and automation testing practices

- Experience with testing automation tools such as Selenium, Junit, TestNG, Watir, Appium or SoapUI

- Worked with testing practices such as BDD and TDD

- Meticulousness and responsiveness with high attention to detail

- Real passion for quality management

- Ability to identify priorities and hotspots

- Excellent communication skills, interacting with development, testing and product team members

- Experience working in an agile team and with knowledge of agile processes

- It would be brilliant if you also have:

- Knowledge of Docker or containerised services

- Bachelor’s degree, QA/ISEB Certification or similar applicable qualification

- Knowledge of a range of web browsers and operating systems

- Knowledge of continuous integration and platforms such as Jenkins, Buildkite or TeamCity
