Cloudmark, as part of Proofpoint protects the messaging infrastructure of more than 120 tier-one service providers worldwide, including Orange France, Swisscom, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, and NTT. We are expanding our product line to prevent other malicious online activities to make messaging safe.

We are seeking a proactive, creative and knowledgeable Presales Solutions Architect to be the primary technical interface to some of the largest email and mobile Service Providers in Europe, Middle –East and Africa. The role will demand interaction with large scale service providers at the Operations, Network, and Messaging Director level.

The role encompasses a variety of customer-facing technical responsibilities from presales through implementation and customer technical account management. You will be responsible for evangelising the benefits of our solutions to new customers, advising and designing Cloudmark e-mail and mobile solutions for new and existing Service Provider customers, and acting as a technical account manager for existing customers. You will support sales account managers by providing presales and post-sales technical account management support to new and existing customers. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve the region’s financial targets and to retain existing customers by ensuring their complete satisfaction.

Travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa is required.

Your day-to-day:

- Pitch, position and demonstrate Cloudmark solutions, presenting the merits of CM solutions over competition

- Provide presales support such as responding to RFI’s/RFP’s

- Execute Proof of Concept (POC) trials to demonstrate the value that Proofpoint solutions provide

- Communicate with key customer technical and business representative and ensure technical and business understanding of solutions being implemented

- Act as technical account manager for key accounts, acting as their internal advocate

- Lead quarterly business reviews with existing customers, providing customers with roadmap updates, platform statistics, and general threat trends.

- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts

- Participate and present at industry conferences and standards bodies

- Liaise with other departments (Products, Engineering, Support) around field priorities and ongoing product road-map priorities

What you bring to the team:

- Proven experience with Linux system and application administration

- Previous technical presales consulting experience – especially experience in large service providers

- Working knowledge of SMTP and / or mobile message protocols

- Knowledge of Email and / or Mobile Messaging security issues

- Understanding of Anti-Spam/messaging technologies (not essential but preferred)

- Experience with data analysis using scripts or other analytical tools (not essential but preferred)

- Fast and Eager learner – seeks out knowledge rather than waiting for knowledge to be presented

- Passionate about providing excellent solutions and services to customers

- Willingness to travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa
