We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Quantum Hardware Engineer!

What will I be doing?

As a Quantum Hardware Engineer in Emerging Technologies team, you will be at the forefront of developing revolutionary quantum computing technologies. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing quantum hardware components and systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive integration of quantum hardware solutions.
  • End-to-end characterization and benchmarking of QPUs and other superconducting circuits
  • Development and installation of cryogenic measurement circuits and methods for DC or microwave domain experiments
  • System-level integration of QPUs, packaging and wiring.
  • Documentation, analysis and reporting of the efforts and results for stakeholders


What skills do I need?

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Hands-on experience with either DC or microwave-domain low-noise experiments on cryogenically cooled devices.
  • A completed MSc or PhD degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum technologies
    • Completed university-level courses or hands-on experience with quantum computation, ideally based on superconducting circuits.
  • Hands-on experience with cryogenic equipment, ideally dry dilution refrigerators.
  • Hands-on experience with automated data acquisition, scripting and data processing, ideally in a Python-based environment.
  • Good communication, reporting and documentation skills.
  • Capacity of independent problem solving
