We are looking for a part-time Legal Counsel in Europe to join our mission to eliminate waiting and improve customer journeys. 

The ideal candidate is excited to work for a startup and managing all legal situations that arise when building innovative products, working with exciting customers and moving fast. They should be comfortable handling the entire lifecycle of global SaaS agreements, including negotiation, drafting, and closing, and ensuring great communication with all stakeholders and compliance with legal standards. 

This position is based in Stockholm at our beautiful bright offices on Kungsgatan 32. We're a hybrid remote company and prefer that you work from the office at least 1 day per week alongside our team.

What you’ll be doing 🚀

• Legal and Compliance: Provide legal counsel and compliance guidance for our operations in Sweden and United States. Ensure that the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Contract Review: Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Commercial Deals: Help our Sales team close deals faster by providing effective legal counsel, negotiating with customers, mitigating risks and managing all stakeholders in the deal process.
• Intellectual Property: Provide basic advice on IP matters, including licensing and trademark issues and manage necessary external advisors.
• Corporate Governance: Assist with basic corporate governance matters.
• Point of contact: You're the contact person for all internal and external legal matters.
• Stay Current: Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure company’s practices are compliant.

Note: We envision this role to be 25-50% full-time but open to explore more flexibility in working hours.

What skills you need 📖

• Studied law at university with at least 3 years work experience in-house and/or law firm
• Proven track record of managing and closing complex SaaS deals, SLA negotiation and information security.
• General knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and implementing compliance strategies.
• Understanding of intellectual property law and information security clauses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Bonus skills & attributes 🙌

• Experience with SOC2 or ISO 27001
• Experience with Cyber Insurance
