We are looking for a mid to senior level Quantum Engineer, Quantum Computer Control and Calibration to join our mission of expanding the frontiers of scientific and technological progress in quantum computing.

You will join an experimental team with a mission to improve the calibration and characterization techniques of superconducting quantum processing units (QPUs). You will improve performance of gates, readout and reset operations beyond state of the art. See our earlier work on single and two-qubit gates. In collaboration with other teams, you will also contribute to QPU design and calibration automation software. As a team member, you will specialize in solving technical problems while collaborating with the rest of the team to integrate novel solutions.


What will I be doing?

  • Improve QPU operation performance
  • Improve calibration speed and robustness
  • Conduct and develop characterization and benchmarking experiments
  • Interpret and report the results of experiments
  • Share expertise and learnings with other team members
  • Stay up to date with relevant academic and technical developments


What skills do I need?

  • Good understanding of superconducting qubit physics
  • Experience conducting experiments with superconducting qubits or similar
  • Understanding of good software development practices, Python, and version control systems
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
