Nofence is a pioneering Norwegian scale up at the forefront of modern agriculture technology, with a mission to revolutionize livestock management! Nofence has developed a cutting-edge virtual fencing system that utilizes advanced GPS technology and intelligent collars to replace traditional physical barriers.

Nofence has 60 employees based in Norway (Molde, Oslo, Trondheim), the UK, Spain and the US. The People and Culture team currently consists of VP People and Culture and People Advisor. As a small, but quickly growing company, you will get an unique opportunity to develop with the company. You will take on a crucial role in developing core people processes that supports our growth journey across borders.

We think the right person is a HR generalist, with particular interest for:

  • HR tech - system implementation and development.
  • HR data analysis. 
  • Talent Acquisition - as a scale up with huge ambitions, attracting the right candidates and ensuring we have the right competence to succeed is one of our main focus areas.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Employee Surveys - issuing monthly surveys and analysing data.
  • Policies - developing and ensuring our policies are up to date.
  • Culture and employee benefits - working closely with the management and showing initiative to ensure we are an attractive employer which stands out.
  • Ensuring good collaboration with our external payroll provider and payroll approval. 
  • Collaborating with Office Managers in Spain, UK and US to ensure a consistent and professional approach, as well as aligning with applicable regulations in each country.
  • Leadership development. 


We believe the right candidate has:

  • Higher education within relevant field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • At least 2-5 years of work experience from HR-related roles.
  • Excellent Norwegian oral and written communication skills. Since some responsibilities will naturally involve interpretation and translating Norwegian laws and regulations that are not always available in English.
  • Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.
  • Great technical skills and enjoy finding scalable technological solutions. Experience in our current systems will be an advantage (Bob, Qlearsite, TeamTailor, Visma Payroll).
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian employment law, GDPR regulations and other relevant legal requirements. 
  • A business oriented mindset and the ability to work closely with our finance department.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

This role will be based at our Oslo office. Our office is located centrally at St. Olavs plass in modern premises at Rebel Oslo.
