The Role

As an Industrial Product Designer at reTyre, you'll be at the forefront of material and design innovation. You'll work closely with our R&D team to explore the limitless possibilities our new machine and production technologies offer. From concept to prototype to final product, you'll be involved in every step of the design process, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in tire technology.

But that's just the beginning.

Your role will extend beyond the design studio. You'll have the unique opportunity to work across departments, collaborating with our marketing team to shape the brand's visual identity, designing and rendering Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and even conceptualizing exposition booths for trade shows.

You'll also collaborate with design teams from leading international brands, offering a global perspective to your work. Your involvement will span the entire development cycle—from the fuzzy front-end of ideation, through testing, designing manufacturing tools, overseeing trial production, and finally, to commercialization.

In essence, no two days will be the same. You'll pioneer new and sustainable tire products, transforming not just how tires look, but how the world views them. Your creations will be the future of the tire industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to design innovative tire products using new materials and leveraging novel design opportunities.
• Create detailed design specifications and prototypes, conducting usability tests to ensure product effectiveness.
• Work with production teams to bring designs from concept to mass production, ensuring design integrity is maintained.
• Continuously research new materials and design techniques to keep reTyre at the forefront of innovation.
• Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into design revisions.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with marketing to create brand visuals, POS systems, and exposition booths.
• Partner with international design teams for cross-brand projects.
• Oversee the entire development cycle, from ideation to commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or product design.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
