About the Role

As Head of Development, you will lead our Product team to develop, improve and maintain the Playable platform, and become a crucial member of our Senior Leadership Team, setting the strategic direction of the company. You will step into the role as a playing coach, dedicating your time for both leadership and for diving head first into back- and front end development alongside the team.

Today, the Product team includes five colleagues covering a full stack Development Director (Aarhus), Senior Backend Developer (remote), Senior Full Stack Developer (remote), and Frontend Developer (Aarhus). The team is currently led by our Founder and Chief Product Officer who will step back and become Product Owner, supporting the Head of Development role until fully onboarded.

The Playable platform is built on Laravel and Vue.js (having transitioned from Angular.js back in late 2021) with AWS server setup. We offer 30+ customisable game concepts and more than 40 native integrations with CRM systems and analytics/tracking tools.

The role includes

• Leading our Product team as a playing coach, setting the strategic, tactical and operational direction for the platform

• Becoming an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, representing the Product team and prioritising platform development in alignment with overall company strategy

• Working closely with our Development Director and Founder to plan and execute our roadmap

• Building and maintaining a strong culture of teamwork and excellence

• Working with internal stakeholders (Solutions & Services, Customer Success, Data, Legal, Finance, Sales, etc.) to improve our overall offering

As you step into the role, you will be thoroughly onboarded and introduced to the company, the platform and the Senior Leadership Team. You will be working closely with the Development Director and Founder to fully understand the platform. And as we’re looking to expand our Product team, you will commence the hiring process of additional resources.

The Ideal profile

• 5+ years experience from a similar or senior development role - preferably from a similar SaaS platform where user experience and data security is key

• Strong leadership skills and experience in setting strategic, tactical and operational directions for teams

• A passionate developer with Vue.js and Laravel experience

• Full professional proficiency in Danish and English
