SailZoo: Technical Co-Founder

SailZoo is on a mission to digitize the recreational boating industry.

I am in search of a Technical Co-Founder with a blend of coding prowess and entrepreneurial insight. If you're a seasoned developer with a knack for business and a readiness to tackle hands-on coding, I’ll invite you to join me in revolutionizing boat ownership & maintenance.

Your role will be pivotal in navigating my startup through the stages of product development and scaling, leveraging our current tech stack to create a seamless, innovative platform.

Your Mission:

As SailZoo's Technical Co-Founder, you will lead the charge in both strategy and execution. Initially, you'll immerse yourself in coding, using our existing tech stack to enhance and expand our platform. You'll transition from hands-on development to strategic leadership as we grow, always aiming to keep SailZoo at the cutting edge of technology and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on Development: Dive into our codebase and take the helm of development.

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Partner closely with the CEO to formulate and execute a tech strategy that propels SailZoo to the forefront of the boating industry's digital transformation.

• Product Oversight: Guide our product from concept to market, ensuring it meets our high standards for usability, reliability, and scalability.

• Operational Excellence: Manage the technology budget and infrastructure efficiently, prioritizing investments that drive growth and scalability.

What I’m Looking For:

• A seasoned developer with an entrepreneurial heartbeat!

• A proven track record in software development, showcasing your ability to deliver scalable and user-centric solutions.

• Experience with our tech stack (or similar): Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, ActionText, Stripe and an understanding of Google GCP infrastructure.

• Business savvy, with an ability to align technological solutions with business goals.

• The agility to shift from deep coding to strategic leadership as SailZoo grows.

• Good communication abilities, adept at connecting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Passion and commitment to SailZoo's mission, ready to make a significant impact in the boating industry, actually solving a real problem.
