Esgaia is a fast-growing Swedish B2B software company focusing on simplifying the ESG-engagement process for institutional investors. Our solution enables investors to focus more on true value-adding activities to increase their impact, rather than getting stuck in inefficient administrative tasks around engagement data and records management.

We are now looking for a commercially driven and result-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. 

Your mission at Esgaia

In this role, you are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as closing new sales. Key to this role is the creation and timely execution of the pipeline, which the business developer takes full ownership of. You will work closely with the whole Esgaia team.

Your key responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities and close sales

• Execute up-sales with existing clients

• Achieve forecasted revenue, renewal and profitability goals

• Network and attend relevant industry events

• Communication of market developments to marketing and product team

Who do we think you are?

The role will suit a self-starter who is willing to learn and is driven by interacting with others. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. We believe you already have a software sales experience linked to financial services. 

Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

• 3+ years of relevant business development experience, preferably within financial services

• A good understanding and interest of the responsible investment space

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills

• A team builder and player with emotional and professional maturity

• Oral and written fluency in English is required
