Stykka designs, manufactures and sells sustainable long-lasting built-in furniture with a digital maintenance platform for the construction industry. All our products are delivered with a digital twin that allows our customers to easily maintain or upgrade their products hence lower their environmental impact.
We are looking for an ambitious senior designer to join our team of talented designers. The ideal candidate will possess high energy, flexibility, and excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to understand design processes and digital manufacturing. The scope of the work will range from sketches/ideation, brainstorming as a group, renderings and hand-made prototypes to the strategies to transition ideas to mass production and ultimately in our customers’ hands.
Responsibilities:
Development of Stykka’s product range and design language
Guide product ideas from the concept stage till production maturing
Help us define the red thread in the design across all our product categories
Manage team communications & logistics.
Develop agile ways of working with the product development team
Assist with design input for tenders
Requirements:
+4 years of experience with product, furniture design or similar
Proficient with Rhino
Advanced sketching/ visual communication skills
Some experience and technical knowledge of different manufacturing processes for appearance parts.
Bachelor's degree in architecture, furniture design or other relevant technical discipline preferred.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Willing and able to be hands-on with projects and tools throughout the shops if necessary.
Familiarity with wood fabrication and machining processes(CNC) is greatly preferred.
