The Company

BikeTrace is creating an ecosystem of digitally interconnected bikes, or what we like call "The Internet of Bicycles". We are looking for an enthusiastic Masters student in Mechatronics who can carry out research and development relating to our upcoming bicycle smart lock.


We are currently offering one project:

  • Hardware development for individual modules / subsystems, incl. prototyping if applicable.

  • Electronics development: crossover between hardware (sensor technology) and software (microcontroller)

  • Setting up a supplier network: Research and contacting of suppliers and cooperation partners. Considering the optimum between cost and quality.


Requirements/Skills/Experience:

  1. Experience with hardware design and prototyping

  2. Experience in Printed Circuit Design

  3. Proficiency in Mechanical Part Design

  4. Competent knowledge in firmware low-level programming (Ruby & Lua languages)

This is an unpaid internship with a great opportunity for learning and producing a great Masters thesis in Mechatronics.
