About the VentureXP Project

We want to assess viability for studio funding by taking a data orientated approach, using our enormous dataset to our advantage, combining it with other revenue and user acquisition data from the applicants, to help us identify financial risk on these operations, and calculate the suitable amounts for each project.

We are looking for a prototype team who can work collaboratively in diverse tasks (varying from design to hands-on build or documentation) to help us lift this project off the ground, design, test, refine and finally hand over the product to our internal team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be the main owner for the development and testing of our risk scoring models.

• You should identify correlations between signals in successful and unsuccessful games to help us build scoring algorithms.

• You should be able to assess the quality of data points and help us plan for expansion in our dataset if required.

• You will be a key contributor involved in planning and developing from prototypes to early-stage products for our new product offerings.

• Making sure we build the right thing at the right time keeping present our business priorities and timelines.

• Inform and keep in the loop our internal Product and Engineering teams through regular meetings and documentation.

• Keeping code quality high using code reviews (pull requests) and documented coding standards.

• Ensure the handover process to our internal teams happens smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS

• Deep understanding of AI and Machine Learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Random Forests, etc.

• Excellent applied statistics skills (probability distributions, regression, bayesian inference...)

• Ability to write high-quality code in Python and experience with BigQuery.

• Experience using Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, SQL/NoSQL databases...

• Experience working on end-to-end data science projects, from requirements gathering to data discovery, modelling, validation, deployment and result communication.

Desired

• Exposure to cloud technologies. Bonus points for AWS and technologies such as EC2, EMR, Lambda, DynamoDB and S3.

• Experience working with complex data pipelines and ML in a production environment.

• Past experience within the private sector.

• Quick learner with an eagerness to work with new technologies.

• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people from different areas and to transfer knowledge to other team members
