Marketing and communications strategist

Riot Innovations is hiring a Marketing and communications strategist on an internship/student level full-time or part-time, depending on your time schedule.

Riot Innovations is an agile start-up ready to go to the market and selling its first product towards the end of the year. The product is a power strip with a Finnish design and high-quality materials. The power strip features a magnetic fitting top-sheet, allowing customers to change the design according to the surroundings even after post-purchase. The power strip will primarily be sold to consumers, however, we will also target B2B, primarily Interior Design Agencies.

We are looking for a young, talented, and enthusiastic talent that values design, sustainability, and strategy development. You will be working directly in a small team and will be supporting us in the development of a marketing strategy. You're encouraged to bring in your own ideas and be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Job Summary:

The Marketing and Sales assistant will be supporting the team in creating and implementing a marketing strategy. You will be expected to have strong communication skills, out-of-the-box thinking, and show an interest in product design and sustainability.  You'll be seen as a full member of the team and are able to bring in your own ideas. You'll have space and freedom to try out new things and learn new things with support from the team.

Responsibilities:

• Development of a marketing strategy for our product

• Development and implementation of a pre-order campaign for our product

• Assistance in managing social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)

• Competitor and Customer analysis

Knowledge & skills:

• Strong communication and writing skills

• Fluent in speaking and writing in English

• Finnish skills are seen as an advantage

• Experience in developing B2C marketing strategies

• Keen ability to express creative ideas and contribute to developing innovative concepts and strategies

• The ability for independent thought, problem-solving skills, and the foresight to involve others when needed

• Ability to work independently

• The job can be remotely or if you're in Espoo area, can also be local (Due to Covid, we've been working remotely mostly)

• Enthusiasm for product design and sustainability
