Tribe Tampere is a nonprofit community-driven entrepreneurial association. Our goal is to unite the start up and entrepreneurial scene in Tampere and create growth in the ecosystem through collaboration between communities.

Community Lead 

Tribe Tampere is looking for a new Community Lead to join our Tribe! As a community lead, you will be responsible for supporting Tampere’s start-up ecosystem through relationship building, coordinating events and collaborations with the aim of growing our community and connections within Tampere and beyond. 

Tribe Tampere Team

You will be working with the Tribe Tampere operational team which consists of six part-time employees – COO, community lead, marketing lead, two project coordinators and a caretaker in addition to active community builders and interns.

Among other things, you will:

• Organise roundtable meetings with key ecosystem stakeholders

• Reaching out and engaging with the start-ups at Platform6 and Tampere

• Manage and engage our community of Tribe Fellows 

• Support community based initiatives and events that align with our mission

• Be an ambassador for Tribe – and be able to pitch who we are, and what we do!

The ideal candidate has:

• Capacity to understand big picture and ecosystem level relations 

• Experience in community engagement and event organisation with a touch of public speaking

• Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate, interact and work with different individuals and teams – you make everyone feel welcome  <3

• You are of those rare creatures who actually loves networking and nurturing connections 

• Fluency in English

• Hands-on attitude for problem solving and gettings things done 

• Willingness and initiative to develop the role further

This is a part-time position for 20h/week with a monthly salary of 1200€. We hope to find a suitable candidate to start as soon as possible. The duration of the position will last till the end of 2021 with the opportunity for continuation. Note that physical presence is required in this position.

This position requires a strong passion to work with the startup community, so the entrepreneurial attitude is a must-have. If something has to be done, it has to be done, no matter of time expected to be consumed at the given moment. You will excel in this role if you have a lot of self-initiative, with the capability and willingness to work as a part of a larger team.
