Boost Turku is a non-profit entrepreneurship society that strives to help young students create startup businesses. We are looking for a responsible person with an ambition to organize the most awesome Hackathon that Turku has ever seen!

Overview:

Timeframe: January-March

Payment:  unpaid

Workload:  30 h / week*

Workplace:  online / Turku

*Negotiable

Responsibilities:

• Planning and executing a hackathon that is called Startup Marathon (happening in March 2021).

• Gathering your own team of volunteers to help you plan and execute the event.

You will get  a lot of support from Boost, especially in the early stages of planning to set you up for success.

The ideal candidate has:

• A great sense of responsibility and reliability

• Good interpersonal skills

• An ability to be organized

• Self-leading approach

• An ability to comfortably work both independently and collaboratively

• Eagerness to learn how to create events (previous experience is not a must)

• Good verbal and written English (no Finnish required)

You have to be a student in order to apply for the position.

It’s good if you also have:

• Participated in any hackathon previously

• Planned and executed, or helped to plan and execute a project or an event
