Are you a bit mad, very driven, and excited about building new things? Look no further! The Shortcut is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our team! We are a talent accelerator, helping people to enter the tech world by either creating a startup or joining one. We're a community-driven non-profit part of Startup Foundation, alongside eg. Slush and Maria01. We support our community through events, workshops and trainings to develop skills needed in high growth companies.

The general scope of your responsibility will consist of:

• The Graphic Design Intern works in close collaboration with the Marketing team, the Finance/Data team and the Activities team.

• Follow brand guidelines to design visual solutions to communicate our message.

• The Graphic Design Intern contributes with, and not limited to: content marketing, TS activities' visual identities and its adaptations to print and social media, photo retouch, animated gifs, special projects, presentations, sales decks templates, infographics, data visuals, among others.

• The Graphic Design intern will work closely with the Visual Brand & Design Lead and it is essential that the right candidate has the ability to work within different teams in a fast pace environment from receiving the briefing to final implementation.

Qualifications:

• Education in graphic design or related area – Native to the full Adobe Creative Suite

• A portfolio that highlights your strong design abilities

• Strong conceptualization, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

• Energized and driven by subjects such as diversity in tech and The Shortcut mission

• Ambitious, willing to grow as a visual designer, and seeking to demonstrate your abilities

• Passionate about design trends and the Finnish startup ecosystem

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: willing to volunteer in events, and can get along with different kinds of people

• Able to respond to challenges by generating results, getting feedback, and improving based on that feedback
