Position summary

We are seeking a talented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. You will be part of the Accounting team and assist in book-keeping and monthly reconciliation for the Norwegian entities and subsidiaries in Gelato Group.

You will be working closely with all members of the accounting team and be responsible for book-keeping and monthly reconciliation. Monthly financial reporting is prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The position is based in Gelato’s Head Quarters in Oslo (Norway).

What you will be doing

• Review customer contracts.

• Book-keeping in our accounting system Xledger for Gelato AS and other entities in the Gelato Group.

• Process journal entries for customer invoices, customer payments, general ledger transactions related to Accounts Receivables and Revenue accounts to ensure all business transactions are timely and correctly booked.

• Communication with Gelato Group’s customers about invoices and send payment reminders.

• Assist in ad-hoc activities related to Accounts Receivables and Revenue Accounts.

• Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliation.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, communicating and escalating relevant issues to the Finance team and Management team, leading initiatives for process improvement within accounting.
