Port 6 is on a mission to build the future of human computer interaction in extended realities. A future where the real and virtual worlds merge, and where the interactions feel so powerful, responsive, and liberating they seem like a sixth sense. We do it by building AI-powered wristbands, creating the truly natural way to interact. Our first prototypes enable typing, gaming, playing musical instruments, creating artwork, controlling an operating system, and many more. This is how we work. We build prototypes every day looking to answer the most important unanswered questions at the foundation of the augmented reality future, from interaction design to biomedical instrumentation. Walking the fine line between playful exploration and parabolic focus. Our lab then, is our playground. It is the physical manifestation of our future building mindset. Our aim is to make it the world's leading augmented reality interaction lab; a bright space people enter to experience years into the future and touch it themselves with their own hands. By turning bleeding edge research into commercial opportunities, we are aiming to make the future of augmented reality more present, private, and powerful. Our team is composed of a group of makers with backgrounds in design, physics, machine learning, electrical engineering, and more, including advisors Miklu Silvanto (ex-Apple) and Markku Mäkeläinen (ex-Facebook). Now, we are looking for more colleagues who want to build the leading interaction laboratory and the world-class knowledge to create the next era of human computer interaction.
