This role is for a systems engineer, who will develop the software running on our hardware, which runs a custom I/O stack written in Go and C.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build aspects of the on-device software of the Nebulon platform

• Mentor junior staff and work with peers to ensure a positive and healthy work environment

• Proactively contribute to the team culture

Essential skills

• Experience of writing and testing multithreaded code

• Knowledge of a C based language (C, C++, Objective C) or Go

• Degree in computer science or other engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

• Willingness to take responsibility for design and implementation

• Experience with revision control (preferably Git)

• Eligibility to live and work in the UK

Desirable skills

• Networking experience

• Experience of development for a Linux target

• Designing for high availability + fault tolerance

• Scripting (Shell/Python/Perl)
