We design, build and support the Proofpoint Essentials platform – our Cloud Email Security platform aimed at the Small to Medium Enterprise Market. We utilize Proofpoint’s industry leading Security tools and offer them as an easily configurable and manageable Cloud Solution. Our team stretches from Product Management, to Project Management, to Software Design and Implementation, to DevOps, to QA, to Support giving us the opportunity to deliver a high-quality experience for our customers.

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern who can help us deliver high quality software against an ambitious product roadmap. This role is suitable for a dynamic, hardworking individual who enjoys writing code, and is keen to enhance and expand their skills while making a visible contribution to a commercially focused Engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with local Engineers, global Product Management, and staff based in our Silicon Valley headquarters and help us drive rapid growth through feature-rich monthly releases that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

What you bring to the team

• Experience in one of the following, PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript

• Excellent University grades, on course for a 2:1 (60%+ average)

• Comfortable working in a team environment

• Good communication skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

Candidate Profile

You have the ability and interest in working full time (40 hours/week) in our Belfast, NI office and are currently on track to achieve 2:1 degree classification upon graduation. This internship is scheduled to begin immediately and end on approximately August 28, 2020.
