ScreenCloud helps businesses communicate better with their teams and customers using simple digital signage software. Think of us as the operating system for all the screens at a company. We have over 7000 customers around the world, including household names like Amazon, BBC, Sonos, Dropbox, and Uber. We're a globally distributed team – with offices in London, Belfast, Los Angeles and Bangkok.

Rather than working on one app forever, our developers get to work on new apps contributing to our ever growing catalogue of 70+ apps.

In the frontends team, we’re building a suite of tools(thinkWix.com drag & drop editors, Canvas, monorepo tooling etc) to really power up our entire suite of apps and make it easy for teams to build apps of their own without ever writing a line of code. If that sounds like an interesting challenge to you, get in touch!

You will:

- Contribute new features to apps across our whole catalogue, including news ones. Right now, these are all built in React, with each then using the tools & techniques that best suit it.

- Become a core member of the frontends group, building tools and best practices to make it easier for developers across the company, and even our customers themselves, to build their own ScreenCloud apps.

- Run your work on a variety of devices, from simple Fire Sticks through to powerful Intel machines, and from 9 inch iPads up to big 4k smart TVs.

- Push us to experiment and try new techniques to constantly improve the quality of the apps we build(We’re super interested in bringing more animation and interactivity to our screens next!)

- Collaborate with designers, testers and product owners to ensure the customer experience is perfect.

- Get stuck in with us on prototypes, POCs and shaping MVPs to experiment with the constant stream of ideas for where we take digital screens next. Then help get these into the hands of real customers and running in the wild of course, no-one wants a stream of POCs that go nowhere!

You might be a great fit for this role if:

- You have experience building apps in a modern JavaScript framework like React, Angular or Vue.

- You have extensive experience with JavaScript, and might even have worked with TypeScript or Flow before.

- You have experience in building a modern webpage with CSS that works across a range of screen sizes.

- You work best in teams and deliver the highest quality code when you’re surrounded by great people.

- You enjoy working with designers and product owners to iterate on an idea and ensure the resulting app you build looks amazing.

- You care about performance and making sure your app runs great for a wide range of customers.

Bonus points if you have experience with any of the following:

- End to end testing with tools like Cypress or Selenium.

- SVG or WebGL Animation experience with libraries like three.js

- GraphQL

- APIs built in Node (Express, Koa, Lambda).

- Deploying to cloud providers like AWS.

- Tweaking build scripts for reliability and performance.
