You will...

- Play a crucial role in helping us revolutionise how we build apps and 3rd party integrations.

- Build high-throughput data ingestion and analysis systems, allowing the display of actionable data in real-time.

- Help plan how the system scales across the globe to cope with future demand.

- Help grow our high performing team by mentoring junior staff, and helping to recruit other highly capable developers.

You might be a great fit for this role if you have the:

- Skills and drive to deliver great software

- Ambition to help drive the architecture in our migration from SaaS to PaaS

- Desire to, and experience of, mentoring other developers to help them make the best engineering decisions possible.

You will need:

- A solid understanding of modern web protocols and how to apply them to build highly scalable, resilient APIs, platforms and services.

- Experience building messaging systems, such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis / SQS.

- Experience leading small, autonomous teams of developers, working in an agile setting

- Experience developing apps on a leading public cloud, with AWS experience preferable

- An understanding of modern protocols, such as GraphQL, OAuth2, WebSockets.

- Some experience developing UI components, using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, preferably React.

- Solid experience in a modern language, preferably C# (.Net Core) or Java
