ScreenCloud helps businesses communicate better with their teams and customers using simple digital signage software. Think of us as the operating system for all the screens at a company. We have over 7000 customers around the world, including household names like Amazon, BBC, Sonos, Dropbox, and Uber. Rather than working on one app forever, our developers get to work on new apps contributing to our ever growing catalogue of 70+ apps.

In the frontends team, we have a stream of ideas for great, complex apps to build so you’ll never be short for variety. On top of that, we’re building a suite of tools to make it easier for anyone to build apps (thinkdrag & drop app builds, and designing graphics in the browser). This role is built for someone who wants engaging work and to be part of a team of like-minded people who can support and help you grow in your career.

You will:

- Help build apps across our whole catalogue. These all use React, but individually, each then uses the tools & techniques that best suit it.

- Run your apps on a variety of devices, from simple Fire Sticks through to powerful Intel machines, and from 9 inch iPads up to big 4k smart TVs.

- Push us to experiment and try new techniques to constantly improve the quality of the apps we build(We’re super interested in bringing more animation and interactivity to our screens next!)

- Collaborate with designers, testers and product owners to ensure the customer experience is perfect.

- Continuously help shape and improve our processes and tools to keep us permanently ahead of the curve.

You might be a great fit for this role if:

- You have good experience with JavaScript and building for the web

- You’ve worked with a framework like React, Angular or Vue, and might even have developed with TypeScript or Flow.

- You have experience in building a modern webpage with CSS that works across a range of screen sizes.

- You work best in teams and deliver the highest quality code when you’re surrounded by great people.

- You enjoy working with designers and product owners to iterate on an idea and ensure the resulting app you build looks amazing.

- You’re keen to get stuck in with an extremely passionate group of frontend developers who will keep you challenged and help you develop and learn in your own career.

Bonus points if you have experience with any of the following:

- APIs built in Node(Express, Koa, Lambda).

- End to end testing with tools like Cypress or Selenium.

- GraphQL

- SVG or WebGL Animation experience with libraries like three.js

- Deploying to cloud providers like AWS.

- Tweaking build scripts for reliability and performance.
