The Company

Angoka Limited is a hardware encryption start-up, headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland with an office in London. Angoka focuses on managing the cyber security risks inherent in connected and autonomous vehicles, industry 4.0, smart cities and IoT devices. Its pioneering S-CAN product provides a unique hardware-based secure communications protocol for distributed networks. The team has a powerful combination of business expertise and expert knowledge of cyber security, data protection, risk management, and operational resilience in automotive and industrial systems. Koen Gijsbers, former General Manager of NATO, is a Non-Executive Director.

The Role

The role will offer the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to both contribute during this exciting stage of our development and to partake in the growth journey of a dynamic start-up by supporting the executive team in a number of activities. These will include research, productisation, grant management, marketing and operations. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The Candidate

We are looking for a talented young professional or graduate, ideally with 1-2 years of experience in a technology, B2B environment. We are interested in people with personality, a “can do and want to” attitude and the willingness to learn, as well as the spirit to go the extra mile.

Core Responsibilities

- Market Research & Analysis

- Business Analysis - working with key executive on business plans and commercials

- Management of grant applications

- Conduct of surveys and compilation of results

- Support in defining and implementing business strategy and resulting business development, marketing, sales and PR activities

- Management of our website, social media outlets and newsletters

- Working in close collaboration with other team members

Requirements

- Good university degree in Engineering, Economics or similar

- Strong interest in and, ideally, some knowledge of technology, cyber security and big data

- Outstanding command of English, additional languages desirable

- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience working with a CRM, such as HubSpot, and WordPress will be a plus

- Good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and juggle competing tasks

- Ability to work and communicate well within a small team

- Proactive, creative and confident

- Good common sense and a commercial mind-set

- Eager, flexible and committed

- Occasional travel
